Getting Started — How the App Works

Step 1 — Open “My Books”

Tap “My Books” in the bottom navigation bar to access all your purchased titles. From here, you can choose to either read or listen to your books.

Step 2 — Start Reading

Tap “Start Reading” to open the reading screen. You can easily navigate between chapters or open the Table of Contents to jump to any section instantly.

Step 3 — Start Listening

Prefer listening? Tap “Start Listening” to begin. Adjust voice speed, switch to Car Mode for simplified controls, or set a Sleep Timer so playback stops automatically after your chosen time.

Explore App Features & Customization

Feature 1 — Enable Kids Mode

Go to your profile and enable Kids Mode to ensure that only kid-friendly books are shown. This keeps the reading experience safe and suitable for young readers.

Feature 2 — Search Books Easily

Discover new titles effortlessly using the Search feature. You can search by author, book title, category, or age group to quickly find what you’re looking for. Explore your favorite genres and authors — all from one convenient place within the app.

Feature 3 — Customize Reading Appearance

Make your reading experience truly your own by adjusting the font size, color, and style. Whether you prefer a light or dark background, large print, or a specific text style — Vocal Reads lets you read the way you like.
