Catriona

Stevenson's sequel to Kidnapped, continuing the adventures of David Balfour.

Having survived shipwreck, flight through the Highlands and the reclaiming of his inheritance, David Balfour now sets out to clear the name of James Stewart, a man falsely accused of the Appin murder. His quest for justice draws him into dangerous political schemes in Edinburgh, sees him kidnapped once more, and leads him to Catriona Drummond, the spirited daughter of a Highland rogue.

Part historical adventure and part love story, Catriona (also published as David Balfour) completes the story begun in Kidnapped.
