Biography
Sir Thomas Malory (1405 - 1471), English author, is remembered for his compilation of the first great English prose epic, Le Morte d'Arthur (1470), a translation ofFrench and English Arthurian romances. Maloryspent many years in prison for political offenses and civic crimes and at last was pardoned by Henry VI. He was twice elected to Parliament. ;
