Lawson, Henry

Famed Australian poet and short-story writer. Lawson is known for his vivid and realistic depiction of Australian bush life. His work is a skilful amalgamation of humour, satire and pathos. His initial writings, both poetry and prose, were published in 1887-1888. Lawson's major works include Stories in Prose and Verse (1894); While the Billy Boils (1896); Children of the Bush (1902); and Triangles of Life and Other Stories (1913). ;
