I Am No Bird

Jane Eyre, one of the greatest love stories ever written, together with the first novel Charlotte Brontë ever wrote.

Orphaned and alone, Jane Eyre survives a cruel childhood to become a governess at Thornfield Hall, where she falls in love with its brooding master, Mr Rochester, and discovers the secret hidden in the attic. The Professor, written before Jane Eyre but published only after Charlotte's death, follows a young Englishman who becomes a teacher in Brussels, drawing on her own time there.

Together they show the passion and independence that made Charlotte Brontë unforgettable.
