As You Like It

Shakespeare's joyful pastoral comedy of love, disguise and exile in the Forest of Arden.

Banished from the court of her usurping uncle, the quick-witted Rosalind escapes to the Forest of Arden disguised as a young man, with her loyal cousin Celia at her side. There she meets Orlando, who has also fled injustice and is now pinning love poems to the trees in her honour. Still in disguise, Rosalind sets out to test his devotion.

Home to the melancholy Jaques and his famous speech beginning 'All the world's a stage', As You Like It is one of Shakespeare's best-loved comedies.
