221B Baker Street

The first Sherlock Holmes short stories, the cases that made Holmes the most famous detective in the world.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes introduces Irene Adler, the one woman to outwit him, along with The Red-Headed League, The Speckled Band and The Blue Carbuncle, a Christmas mystery that begins with a goose. The Memoirs continues with Silver Blaze, The Musgrave Ritual and The Greek Interpreter, which introduces Holmes's brother Mycroft, and ends with The Final Problem, in which Holmes faces Professor Moriarty at the Reichenbach Falls.

Short, gripping and endlessly clever, these are the stories every Holmes reader starts with.
